We've raved about BCL's AHA products multiple times before, both on social media and on our previous blogposts (click here to read more about AHA and the scientifically proven benefits!) And quite frankly? We still can't get enough of them. We'll give you the breakdown and our experience firsthand with these products.
AHA Cleansing Wash
The AHA Cleansing Wash is both powerful and gentle. It contains tiny beads in its cream formula that doesn't irritate my skin or dry it out, like many other drugstore cleansers do. The face wash has a fresh apple scent that smells amazing while washing and even for a while after. Before using this face wash, my skin's been breaking out because I haven’t been cleansing and taking care of it properly. After making the switch the AHA Cleansing Wash, my skin's been visibly smoothened and brightened!
To prep my skin, I use the Bifesta Cleansing Water to start off my double cleansing routine, or the Curel Makeup Removing Gel for make-up heavy days. I then use just a pearl-sized amount of the AHA Cleansing Wash and lather away, finishing off with some lukewarm water to rinse. After cleansing, I go about with the rest of my routine, applying toner, serum, and cream to seal it all together. The AHA Cleansing Wash creates the perfect blank canvas for all my other skincare products to effectively absorb. Also a little goes a long way- when i use this wash in the shower, it generates lots of foam. I use that extra foam to reach areas of my back and chest, which really helps alleviate some of the acne that appears there! I'm very satisfied with this cleanser and would definitely repurchase in the future.
AHA Cleansing Water
I've actually never used a cleansing water before and thought it was equivalent to a toner (and they're similar, but the cleansing water is way more versatile). Trying out AHA's Cleansing Water was a new experience and luckily, it was a very positive one! First off, like Ashley, the sweet smell of apples was what gave me a great first impression: the crisp, refreshing aroma of apples was right up my alley.
There are two ways that I used this cleansing water and the first was to apply it before cleansing. I moistened a cotton pad with a couple drops of the water and used it to remove makeup and grease buildup. The cleansing water is a pretty thin solution, with no oils or emollients, so I was so surprised to see how well it picked up my day's worth of grease and dirt. I actually felt adequately cleansed even before washing! The second way to use the cleansing water is after you wash your face, just as you would a toner. This ensures that you don't miss anything your first wash left behind and that your skin is properly prepped for the heavy-duty serums and creams that come after.
In my opinion, the versatility of AHA Cleansing Water is what gives this product repurchase value. I just love having the added insurance that my face, whether the water is applied before or after cleansing, is thoroughly washed and in its most bare state. Would 100% recommend this to others!
